High stick nymphing
WebMay 27, 2024 · I've been looking at getting a longer rod that would be used for high-stick nymphing as well as throwing dries, probably 75/25%. Probably something in the 10 1/2 ft range. I see plenty of EN rods but few of them mention the ability to toss dries nicely. Generally, I think it's more successful because you can get deep better, and control drag better. You want it to literally roll on the bottom.
